As part of Metronet Rail’s comprehensive renewal of the London Underground system, including the modernisation of 150 stations, a major refurbishment of Tower Hill Underground Station was completed in December 2007.
Improvements to the station included resurfacing of the platforms, installation of security surveillance, a new public address system, customer Help Points, signage and anti-graffiti measures.
Elliott Thomas took a key role in providing welfare operatives and 24 hour gateman services for this regeneration project as part of their extensive rolling contract with Metronet Rail. Providing logistics support for stations across London, their responsibilities have included
