Elliott Thomas Group

Following a string of successful projects in the healthcare sector, Elliott Thomas were awarded a refurbishment and new build contract by leading independent hospital services provider Capio Healthcare in 2006.

The new facilities, designed by architects Hall Needham Associates, were the latest addition to the Woodlands Hospital in Kettering. They comprised of the construction of four out-patient consultancy rooms, the refurbishment of existing buildings to form an impressive new entrance way and the relocation of the pharmacy building.

Acting as principal contractor, the development involved brick and blockwork construction, partitioning, all M&E installations and carpeting. The majority of the work was conducted outside of hospital operating hours with the provision of extra health and safety measures required for those works undertaken during peak times.

The successful completion of the project demonstrated Elliott Thomas’ experienced management of budgetary constraints within tight scheduling timescales.
