In 2008, Oxford University’s Old Road Campus was provided with a fourth storey roof extension and a link bridge from the extension to an existing building.

This challenging redevelopment required a number of specialist services and trades to enable the substructure, superstructure, envelope and metalwork design and construction.

To ensure genuine cost effectiveness, Elliott Thomas’ construction team lead an in-depth value engineering exercise on the Structure and Envelope as well as providing management for the live site and coordinating the diverse trades required for the project. To facilitate the smooth operation of the site and the timely completion of the works, Elliott Thomas called on a broad range of their specialist skills and services.
