Specialist contractor Elliott Thomas today announced that it has secured a five-year framework contract with Brixton Plc, one of the UK’s leading and publicly quoted companies in industrial and warehousing space.
Elliott Thomas’ first contract, worth around £7.5m, will focus on two of Brixton’s industrial estates at the Buncefield Refinery, Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire: Enterprise Way and the Maylands Wood Estate.
Following the refinery explosion last year – possibly the largest in peacetime Europe – the project will repair and regenerate a number of warehouse units: 8 at Enterprise Way and 14 at Maylands Wood.
The rolling framework agreement will see Elliott Thomas provide a full spectrum of services for Brixton, including renovations and refurbishment, internal and external fit out, structural cladding, roofing, installation of windows and doors, plumbing and electrics and office, kitchen and utility area fit out. Two teams of 8 operatives will be based at each estate.
John Self, Managing Director of Elliott Thomas, said, “Having worked with Brixton over the past 4 years it is testament to the team working with Brixton and the high level of service we have provided that we have secured this framework contract.”
While work is being carried at out the Buncefield Refinery, Elliott Thomas is also looking after occupier interests by erecting temporary buildings to use as office space. The firm will also ensure those tenants’ clients, who visit the site for goods, are able to manoeuvre safely and reach their target destination.
Brixton Plc currently owns or manages around 18m sq ft of industrial and warehouse space in the UK. The portfolio is located predominantly in the South East of England with a particular focus on the Heathrow and West London markets.
