Elliott Thomas Launches Hoists Division
December 2005
Specialist contractor Elliott Thomas has today announced the official launch of the company’s new construction hoists division - Taylor’s Hoists.

As a division of Elliott Thomas, Taylor’s Hoists will provide hire, sales, operation and maintenance of construction hoists. Exclusively using the Scando 650 hoist range from Alimak Hek, the new division is a natural evolution of the company, now regarded as one of the UK’s leading construction logistic organisations.

Taylor’s Hoists is the first new hoists company to be launched in the UK for over twenty years and will be headed up by Stuart Taylor. A well known face within the industry, he was previously Hoist Manager at Thornberry Civil Engineering, Wyseplant, Maxxiom and Hewden before joining Elliott Thomas 3 years ago and will bring with him a wealth of industry knowledge and experience.

Speaking at the official launch at the Caledonian Club in London, Stuart Taylor commented, “Taylor’s Hoist’s inception is as a direct response to customer demand. I have been in the industry for over 55 years and constantly keep getting enquiries for the provision of a reliable hoist service. Working with Alimak Hek we will be providing the Scando 650 range, regarded as one of the most reliable, efficient and versatile hoist systems on the market. This is what clients are looking for and this is what we will be providing.”

Elliott Thomas’s Chief Executive John Self commented “The launch of Taylor’s Hoists as a division of Elliott Thomas is just part of our ambitious expansion plans. The company is still relatively young but has grown rapidly with our logistic services forming the backbone. The launch of a division offering hire, sales, operation and maintenance of construction hoists was therefore the natural step and forms just part of our planned, controlled, growth for the next stage of Elliott Thomas’s development.”
