Completion of phased project at John Radcliffe Hospital

The £650k phased project within the centre of Oxfordshire’s busy John Radcliffe Hospital was completed in phases within a 20 week time frame and on budget. The work involved close liaison with the department and NHS Trust, where alteration to the existing services demanded precise planning and coordination to ensure essential supplies were available as required by the medical and research departments.
The phasing of the work was around high usage corridors imperative to the efficient movement of personnel, patients and equipment, including 2 main staircases. Our logistical approach to noise, waste removal and material management was scheduled and presented at weekly Client Liaison meetings for agreement, and once agreed, monitored with each department on a daily basis. The client's compliments and praise were extended on the manner in which the disruptive activities were executed “out of hours” to suit the hospital’s wishes and operational needs.
