health and safety as the cornerstone of a successful business. It is of the
utmost importance to us that we care for the safety, health and well being of
our employees and everyone else who interfaces with our business activities. We
are recognized externally as one of the few employers driving for continual
improvement in our health, safety and environmental performance.
Our approach to managing health and safety is structured (HSG 65) and risk
based. We aim to create a safe working environment by identifying and assessing
risks, adapting good working practice and ensuring that safe systems of work
are in place across all business activities.
The company’s accident frequency rate continues to be significantly better than
Health and Safety Executive Annual Report (National Statistics), with no
reportable accidents or incidents reported within the last two years.

We have an environmental sustainability programme that encourages the reduction
of impacts on our environment, through better design, development, impact
assessments, a competent supply of materials and a structured environmental
awareness programme. We are annually setting ourselves targets (above the
national targets) to reduce all impacts that our business has on the
environment. We believe that we have a major role to play in the development of
a waste management sustainability programme that is not only meeting the
national sustainability requirements but achieving greater results across all
aspects of environmental reductions.
